TrailTime features

TrailTime is volunteer hour tracking built for trail work. Volunteers log their hours from a phone or computer; trail stewardship organizations and their chapters get the reports they need — including grant match time tracking for RTP and other in-kind match requirements. Free during open testing.

For volunteers

• Log time in seconds — Pick the trail system, the type of activity and what you did, and your hours — from a phone or a computer.
• Your own records and report — See and edit your entries, and run a report of your hours by trail system for any date range.
• Leaderboard — See top contributors by year, quarter or any dates — across all organizations, your organization or your chapter.
• Badges — Earn badges as your hours with an organization add up, and track progress toward the next one.
• Scan to join a work party — Scan the leader's QR code to add a group activity's hours to your own — new volunteers sign up on the spot.

For stewardship organizations

• Organizations and chapters — Set up sub-organizations (chapters) with their own SubAdmins, under one parent organization.
• Trail systems — Link the trail systems you care for, so volunteers see them first; import lists from a spreadsheet.
• Group activities — Log one entry for a work party: number of volunteers × hours, counted in full in your reports.
• Group QR codes — Show a QR code at a work party so volunteers link themselves to it and get Leaderboard and badge credit.
• Sign-up QR codes — Share a QR code or link that signs new volunteers up already connected to your organization or chapter.
• Grant match report — Tag volunteer hours to a grant and print each volunteer's hours by date, valued at your funder's rate, ready for in-kind match paperwork.
• Reports — Hours by trail system, by volunteer, by activity type, and a full activity detail — print or download as CSV.
• Your branding and badges — Show your logo in the header for your members, and define your own badges and hours needed.
• Email notifications — Get an email when a new volunteer joins your organization.
